Mr. C's Photo Contest

Mr. C is having a photo contest for amateur photographers... and that is me. I was allowed to submit 3 entries of images from around my town. Here is what I sent in. I hope I win, but if not there is always next time.

1. The Friendship Shell is right in the center of town. There are a lot of venues held here.

2. There are so many historical buildings around here. I will have to go out this weekend and get some better shots. I liked the way the top of this building looked against the sky. I need to learn photoshop so I can add more contrast. I think it would look better that way.

3. I like to go to the River Walk with Sable just to walk and relax there is always something do and see there. Sable enjoys it too.

Wish me luck and go on over and check out his blog.

Shaken, not Stirred

8 days later and I still do not know what caused my issues last week, so that is a little odd. I saw 3 doctors with 3 different opinions. So anyway I guess I just hope it never comes back whatever it was. The ENT (Ear, Nose, Throat) guy said he was not concerned with the cat scan results, but my regular doctor is so I will let them fight it out.

Lets see what happened this week.

Oh at work on Wednesday I was sitting there on the phone and I felt my whole desk move... it was crazy. I thought i was still not feeling well and I was imagining the room was shaking. I thought this is it, i am gonna die or pass out. I looked up at the top shelf and my pictures were swinging back and forth, that is when i breathed a sigh of relief and knew it was not in my head. I talked to the girl that is in the office next to me and she said she felt her chair move. Later in the day I was listing to the news and I discovered that I had experienced my very first earthquake. I am in Michigan... we just don't have many of those here (not that we can feel anyway) it was a 5.5 and started in Canada. So thanks Canada for my first earthquake but if you don't mine you can keep those to yourself.

Last night there was a bug in my house, I don't know how it got in maybe when i was letting the dog out. I was so proud of myself for not freaking out. I told myself "listen self you can do this it is not a big deal" I had my shoes on and it was on the kitchen floor and not the carpet. I will just step on it... So I just stepped on it... and it went "crunch" ... eww! so gross! the noise! eek!... the crunch... gag! so began the full on girl freak out about the crunch noise. very eventful. I am sorry you missed it.

Also I could not fall asleep after that ordeal so I painted my fingernails with glitter nail polish. Maybe I wanted to feel like I was in grade school again. I don't question my motives, I usually just consult the 8 ball and go for it. Wait till my mom sees it this weekend. She is forever telling me to "grow-up". I don't wanna! *sticks out tongue*

Have a good weekend.

Is my head gonna 'splode?

Thursday morning I woke up to the right side of my face all swollen. Not my whole face just under my eye to the top of my mouth (cheek area) I went to work because that is what I do, but I was kinda freaking out on the inside. When my boss got in she sent me to the doctor. It must have been more noticable than I thought, of course I did forget to tell you it was bright red and hot. and I could only do 1/2 smiles.

I called my allergist to see if it was a reaction to the shot I got on Wednesday morning but they said no, I do not have any food allergies so that was unlikely. I called my regular doctor but she could not see me, but the nurse said to got get it looked at ASAP. This began my panic. I went to the Redi Med clinic and he said it was an infection in my skin... this sounded like crap to me because I have no cuts on my skin, anyway he gave me some antibotics and sent me home.

The next morning I had an appt. with my real doctor she took one look at me and started scheduling things like a mad women, lab work, shot in the ass (of antibotics) and a cat scan... to make a long story short by the end of the day I had much stronger drugs and was laying in a cat scan machine. Now this is Friday and Doctors leave at around noonish... usually. I was in the cat scan by 4:00pm and my doctor said for them to call her on her cell phone. This really caused me to panic... I hope I am not going to die usually the doctor does not care and will let you know results on Monday....

At 5:00pm the doctor called and I have something called Chronic Sinustus. I have a major sinus infection, and have had it for a long time, this sinus infection caused two pylops to form in my sinus cavity... in my mind pylop could be cancer so I got googled it... phew... less than 4% is cancer. The doctor also told me that they may need to be revomed. I asked if that would involve a hospital, needles, knives, and being KO'd and she said maybe... i think this was were I passed out.

I guess I will here from the ENT today and know if I am going under the knife.
Will keep you posted.
...and yes I am a big baby.

Bling

Long time no see...
Miss you all.
Well this summer has been eventful so far. I have been working a lot and going to my parents on the weekends. I guess I have not really felt moved to sit down and write something. It is now 4:56 am and I can not sleep so I thought instead of just laying there I might as well get busy.
I got bling. My dad put new wheel covers on my car and you would not believe the attention these plastic wheel covers get. I was loading some groceries in the truck when a young boy got out of the car next to me, I think he must have been 1st or 2nd grade. He said to me I like your wheels they are so shiney in the middle. I smiled and told him thank you. I proceeded to call my dad and let him know that the wheel covers he put on my car are still the shinest things on it.

Thought of the Day

Look closely at the shitty cell phone picture above you will see that there is a metallic molded nut sack hanging from this truck. Now this is not the first time I have seen this around my town. Is there some kind of club? The first truck nut sack I saw was homemade. This one seem to have been purchased.

I had to resist the urge to confront the guy and asked him why he has a nut sack on his truck. Good thing I had my seat belt on restraining me. Does this mean his truck is a dick? Does he know he is riding a dick all the way to work and probably several times a day?

Am I supposed to have a metallic molded vagina hanging from my car?

Did he find it online and whose nut sack is it fashioned after? some famous male porn star?... did he have to choose what size and shape nut sack he wanted for his truck? Did he question his sexuality when he was cupping the balls to attach them to his truck? I need to know.

Well I think these questions and more occupied my mind most of the way to work.
Pretty sad isn't it.

Most Random Post Ever

I am sorry I have not posted sooner. It is just every time I think I want to sit down and write something it just feels forced. I think I will just recap what has been going on lately.

Work has been very stressful lately people are still not back to work or finding jobs so it is tough, they really don’t want to lose their homes there were almost 200 loans more than 3 months past due in my queue alone!!! You want to know what made me feel like complete crap today… It is that the home I am getting ready to send to foreclosure belongs to a 90 and 93-year-old couple. Where in the hell are they supposed to go? I feel like crap… this is the part of my job I dislike the most. It is not the people that feel like they are entitled, it is not the people who went out and bought the home of their dreams for ½ the cost then let the home they were living in go back to the bank, it is not ever the people that call and yell at me like I am hard of hearing or I am the sole reason for the housing crisis. I feel the worse when bad shit happens to people who are really struggling… So I am hoping I can plead with committee on Thursday and cut some sort of deal so they can stay in their home. I hope like hell when I am 90 that I don’t have any debt looming over me.

End rant…

Anyway Sable’s blood work came back perfect. I am so excited to hear that. So I talked to the vet and he said that it looking like an age related loss of sight. I still need to take her back in 2 months for a re-check to see how fast it is progressing. So I will make sure to do that… maybe I will have to get her some Doggles.

Like these…

This morning I was so tired I had to stop at 7-11 for a slurpee… it is a caffeine rush and the nectar of the gods…Oh Thank Heaven for 7-11. I have been hopped up on nose spray for my allergies and not able to sleep at night which sucks during the day.

Sunday I went to my mom and dad’s to visit Mothers day was awesome I made my mom a ton of greeting cards that she could use for her friends, she was excited about it. We had a good time just hanging out. My dad was in a good mood too. The lilac tree was in full bloom and even though it makes me sneeze I love that smell, it reminds me of home. I miss home especially when it is quiet here and no one to talk to.

It is too quiet.

Good night

…and stay tuned I am sure I will have more idiot girl adventures.

Sable Had a Long Day

Sable had to go to the vet today; she thought she was on some grand adventure and totally fine until they took blood. She did not like that one bit. I had scheduled an appointment today because she needs some Frontline and she also needed her 3-year Rabies and DHLP-PV annual. I felt so bad for her getting poked and prodded. No diva should have to endure such things.

He checked her over and looked at her eyes for a really long time. Which I don’t think she liked but it made me nervous. The vet did not like what he saw. She has cataracts. So they took more blood to run some sort of panel on her to make sure there is not something more serious going on to cause her eyes to be doing that. He also wants to see her back in two months to re-check her and see how rapidly it is progressing.

So she is losing her vision and I guess the blood work will let the vet know if it is treatable to slow down or not. I hope so. I don't want anything to be wrong with my baby (insert sad face)

...i guess now all i can do is wait to get the test results
