Cell Phone Etiquette
I go to the woman’s bathroom at work today and some lady is in there (in the other stall) peeing and talking on the cell phone, which ok, I have to admit when nature calls by all means answer (no pun intended)…but I went into the next stall (only two) and peed (lol…too much info) but when I was done I did not know if I should flush the toilet or not…so I stood there wishing i had the magic 8 ball (i always consult the magic 8 ball on all important decisions) I thought the conversation might end, but it didn’t, well I did not want to spend anymore time in there so I flushed the toilet, but I am so sure the person on the other end of the phone heard it. GAWD!!!

This post, and the one just before it (about removing lids) reminds me of a great David Sedaris story. (Sorry, I'm don't remember which book it's in).
ReplyDeleteAnyway, he starts off talking about how he would be talking to his sister on the phone, and sometimes she'd make these grunting sounds. She'd say she was trying to open stuck jar lids.
Later, it turns out that his sister had the habit of taking her cell phone into the bathroom to talk. A disgusted David put 2 and 2 together, and figured out she wasn't really opening jars.
If you can find the story, it's infinitely funnier that what I just wrote.
Keep up the nice writing.
Siren - Tears are streaming down my cheeks, I'm laughing so hard - and you helped remind me of a story I was going to blog about - I'll have my bathroom stall/cell phone story soon.
ReplyDeleteTaunt Vortex ~ LOL that is kinda twisted.
ReplyDeleteTNO ~ hurry up already i want to read it.
My wife has a good story about this, too. Why is it that they always say "nothing" when they're really doing "something"?
ReplyDeleteFM - you know i always wondered why i did that myself, I am usually never not doing something but when someone asks me what i am doing 90% of the time i think i say "nothing"
