Ok my dad's Christmas gift is done.  I think it turned out nice.  Glass is sharp in the edges... good think I have care bear band aids.

Idiot Girl DIY Day

Made some gift bags for my mom.  Was feeling crafty today.  Also I am in the process (true idiot girl style) of making my sister some magnets.  I have already sliced my finger with an exacto knife and am sporting a skull and cross bones band aid.  I also had the brilliant idea to spray the Krylon crystal clear coat on them right here on the apartment... i have to say it STINKS and my nose is burning.  FUN TIMES!  I will post pictures when they are done.

Free MusicFest

Sable and I went to the fifth annual Midland Free Music festival.

This year there was an 8 foot x 30 foot canvas that will end up being part of a huge "free paint" mural.  Yes I picked up a brush.  

We visited all the vendors and Sable even got a massage... she is so spoiled.  We wandered over and found a shadey spot under a tree and just chilled out and listened to some great music.

Can I just say this was an amazing concert.  I have never had music brought to life like that.  Susan Calloway is an expert vocalist.  If you are a Final Fantasy fan and you have not been to one of these concerts, I suggest you get a ticket pronto... well worth the money.
